Daniel Padilla DETOURs to Houston with Ian Veneracion

Austin, TX - Filipino icons Daniel Padilla and Ian Veneracion made their way to Houston for their DETOUR tour, bringing beloved songs to fans in the US. Daniel Padilla is a Filipino actor and singer, getting his start in 2011 in the TV series, Growing Up. He is the son of celebrities Rommel Padilla and Carla Elago Ford (professionally known as Karla Estrada). His success has earned him several awards such as the Best Actor Award at the FAMAS Awards (2017), Best Actor Award at the Luna Awards (2019) and a Kid's Choice Award (2015). In Vietnam, he was awarded twice for his acting with a Best Foreign Actor award (2015 and 2017) and in South Korea at the Seoul International Drama Awards he was nominated for Outstanding Asian Star for his role in Incognito.

Ian Veneracion is son to famous painter Roy Veneracion. The star is not only an actor and singer but a licensed pilot, skydiver, paragliding pilot and scuba diver. He started his journey in 1982 when he joined GMA Network. During the 1990s, he starred in several different films including Totoy Hitman (1996) and Bastardo (1997). His first drama appearance was in 2001 starring in Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin a drama romance series produced by GMA Network. His most recent appearance was in 2023 as a part of a series called The Iron Heart.

The crowd at the Houston concert came hyped before they even came on stage, screams resounding through the venue in anticipation of the stars. The pair performed several of their songs as well as some covers of famous songs including Californication by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. As the night progressed the duo invited the crowd towards the stage to dance and sing along with them. Fans took the opportunity to take selfies and interact with the artists, ending the night on a joyous and exciting note.
