Nopality Magazine is driven entirely by a dedicated team of volunteer creatives — from students to emerging professionals — who believe in our mission.
We’re always looking for new members to join our editorial, design, and operations teams.

We are seeking dedicated writers, photographers, and graphic designers to contribute to our expanding creative community. We are also actively recruiting for our web, social media, and production teams.

If you’re interested, please complete the information below and we will be in touch. All positions are volunteer-based, and we offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your commitments and priorities.

Current contribution expectations are one assignment per month in your area of expertise.

  • Photographers are required to take photos AND write Monthly expectation:

    • Contribute 1+ photo gallery and written article for events such as:

      • Concerts cultural festivals album releases meet and greets.

    Additional opportunities:

    • interview artists/creatives

    • collaborate with writers on editorial pieces

  • Monthly Expectations:

    • 1+ supplemental graphic/illustrations per month

  • Monthly Requirements:

    • 1+ written piece per month (feature/review/editorial)

  • Monthly Expectations:

    • 1–2 website updates per month, such as:

      • Uploading new articles, features, or photo galleries

      • Updating staff bios, issue pages, or magazine sections

      • Refreshing homepage layout or spotlight modules

    • Timely formatting of content for web (photos, alt text, SEO titles, tags).

    • Fix or report minor site issues (broken links, layout issues).

    • Optional: Contribute 1 digital-only feature (like a web-exclusive spotlight or interactive piece) every 2–3 months.

    Communication & Workflow:

    • Collaborate with writers/photographers for web-specific formatting.

    • Meet monthly with editors to plan upcoming web rollouts.

  • DescriptioMonthly Expectations:

    • 4–8 posts per month (weekly or twice weekly), including:

      • Graphics promoting articles or issues

      • TikToks/Reels featuring artists or behind-the-scenes content

      • Event coverage posts or photo dumps

    • 1 social media campaign participation per month, such as:

      • Issue rollout

      • Event recap

    • Engagement duties (10–15 min per post day):

      • Replying to comments

      • Sharing promo materials to IG stories

      • Interacting with artists and partners

    Communication & Workflow:

    • Attend one monthly planning meeting to preview upcoming content calendar

  • Monthly Expectations:

    • 1+ video deliverable per month, such as:

      • Concert recap video

      • Interview clip / artist spotlight

      • Reel/TikTok edited from team footage

      • Motion graphic teaser for new issues

    • Collaborate with photographers + writers to produce cohesive multimedia content.

    • Maintain brand consistency in typography, motion style, and audio.

    • Roles you can pick are

    Optional but encouraged:

    • Produce 1 longer-form piece every 2–3 months (mini-doc, multi-artist recap, feature video).
