Terrazzo Tea was the perfect setting for Allie Arnaez's most recent performance. The show, organized by Arnaez’s label, mHart Media, was Arnaez’s first time performing a more stripped down set. While Arnaez might not have an extensive discography yet, her performance was proof that she has the potential to go far.

The setup was simple: on stage sat a pink bench with a boombox at one end. Arnaez sang from the bench and was accompanied only by an electric guitar. Not far from the stage was a small photo booth meant for audience members to enjoy while waiting for the show to begin. According to Waverly, mHart Media’s founder, Arnaez’s performance at Terrazzo Tea was like “a rite of passage.” mHart’s other artists have both played sets there as well.

The event was well attended and it is clear that Arnaez has many dedicated fans. The crowd cheered in excitement when Arnaez announced she’d be performing her latest single “Passenger Princess”. Some of those in the audience could even be heard singing along throughout the night.

The audience was mesmerized by the night's performance and it is no surprise why. Arnaez has an absolutely beautiful voice. Over the course of the set she hit some insane vocal runs and impressively high notes with her falsetto.

Many members of mHart Media were there to support Arnaez as well. Francene Rouelle acted as emcee and Waverly backed up Arnaez’s stunning vocals with some jazzy chords on his electric guitar.

During the half hour set, Arnaez sang a few covers as well as many of her own original songs. While Arnaez's songs sound quite different as studio tracks, her fans thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience of hearing dialed back versions of the songs they already love. When Arnaez announced that it was time for her last song, there were many surprised shouts from the crowd who were eager to hear more. At the end of the performance, chants of “one more” filled the room.

While the set was short and sweet, Arnaez left her fans with much to anticipate. During her last song she announced that on December 5th it will be released as a new single.

As Arnaez stepped off stage at the end of her set, fans began to surround her and shower her with praise. Between the cozy vibe of the venue and all of the people there to support Arnaez, the performance felt very much like an intimate gathering of close friends. It was a very special night akin to a celebration.
