Hailing from Pasadena, TX, Vortxz aims to inspire while blending a wide variety of genres—ranging from new-wave indie to alternative rock—and drawing inspiration from traditional Latino sounds. The band consists of lead singer and founder Isaias "Rambo" Rodarte, lead guitarist and keyboardist Noe Rodriguez, and drummer Jonathan Lopez.
Before the show was slated to start, the crowd eagerly awaited the group, singing along to their songs playing over the speakers. Once the group took the stage, the entire crowd was entranced by their energy, singing and dancing to every track. Isaias began interacting with fans at the barricade early on, even taking fans’ phones to record—making it a highlight of their night. The audience was fully engaged, singing the lyrics word-for-word, making sure the group felt their love and appreciation.
Vortxz's new album, The Garden, had just been released. However, that didn’t stop fans from singing along and dancing to the new tracks. The band thanked the fans for supporting their latest music and were surprised to see how many already knew the words to songs that had just been released—proving that despite their size, the group is already making an impact.
Later in the set, Vortxz brought out a special guest to perform duets and covers. The overall atmosphere shifted to something more sensual and slow as they sang R&B-heavy tracks swirled with Spanish lyrics. Integrating Latino culture into their songs clearly resonated with the audience, with many fans singing along in Spanish—earning heartfelt appreciation from the band.
The group mentioned that The Garden was a tribute not only to fans but to anyone who feels lost or stuck in life. They want their music and presence to be a source of happiness and escapism. Seeing how far they’ve come struck a chord with Isaias, who turned emotional and expressed his deep gratitude for the fans and their ongoing support.
Nearing the end of the show, the group once again thanked the crowd—“Thank you, Houston. We love you”—as they prepared for their encore. Isaias even stepped down into the crowd to connect further with fans, reinforcing that sense of community and ease the band is known for.
The show concluded, but not before the band took a group picture with the crowd, forever capturing the final moments of one of their most successful shows yet. Vortxz doesn’t just blend Latino culture with indie and R&B influences—they embody the vibrant spirit of Houston and its thriving artistic community.
